HC Deb 24 February 1970 vol 796 c276W
58. Mr. Wingfield Digby

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the inability of his Department to decide between three alternative bypasses or relief roads for Bridport is holding up building on these routes, that 13 years have now elapsed since the schemes were first mooted, and that housing accommodation for the elderly is being postponed; and when he expects to reach a decision.

Mr. Mulley

It is hoped to publish draft proposals for the route of the bypass by Autumn this year.
