Member for Richmond, Yorks, he will now refer the whole case of the collection of union contributions at the Middlesbrough General Hospital to the Director of Public Prosecutions; and if he will make a statement.
The Attorney-GeneralIn his letter to me of the 16th February, 1970, the hon. Member refers to allegations which relate to events which occurred after the police inquiries last year. Accordingly, I have asked the Director of Public Prosecutions to arrange for these further allegations to be investigated and I will consider the matter with him when that investigation is completed.
