HC Deb 23 February 1970 vol 796 cc248-9W
103. Mr. Rankin

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the decision to build an ore terminal at Hunterston, what plans he has for the co-ordinated industrial development of Clydeside.

Mr. Ross

The co-ordination of industrial development on Clydeside is an important part of the regional planning work on which we are engaged. A physical planning decision about the proposed developments at Hunterston must await the outcome of the public inquiry which has just ended. On the proposal for an ore terminal, I would also refer my hon. Friend to the terms of the reply given on 16th February by my Hon. Friend the Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Technology to the hon. Member for Rutherglen.—[Vol. 796, c. 12.]
