§ Mr. VarleyIn the six years, 1964–69, 1.9 million square feet and 21.3 million square feet have been completed in Hartlepool and the Northern Region respectively for projects for which industrial development certificates have been issued. In the financial years 1964–65 to 1968–69 inclusive the Northern Region has received £171 million in preferential assistance to industry of which about £5 million was for the construction of Government advance factories.
