HC Deb 23 February 1970 vol 796 c266W
Mr. Onslow

asked the President of the Board of Trade if, now that he has established the practicable scope for increased use of the Woodley/Midhurst route, he will state what is the anticipated total number of aircraft movements in the first year of such use, and what proportion this will represent of aircraft leaving Heathrow and turning south.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

The practicable scope for more use of the Woodley/Midhurst route in terms of airspace has been established, but the use which can be made of this, taking account of amenity and of air traffic capabilities, is still being studied.
