§ Mr. William Edwardsasked the Secretary of State for Defence what is his policy with regard to the signs outside military establishments in Wales; and what steps he has taken to implement the Welsh Language Act, 1967 in his Department.
§ Mr. HattersleyWelsh language unit designatory signs and similar notices outside military establishments in Wales will be provided as part of the normal barracks maintenance programme. Welsh versions of some Service forms used by the public have already been introduced. The provision of bilingual versions of other forms is being considered.
