Flame-retardant Polyether Foam

Mr. R. W. Brown

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works if he is aware of the development of a new flame-retardant polyether foam; and if he will take steps to ensure the use of this new material, where applicable, in all contracts placed by his Department.

The Department is aware of the flame retardant grade of "polyether foam" and already specifies this material for building and engineering purposes in appropriate circumstances.
