HC Deb 19 February 1970 vol 796 cc190-1W
Sir J. Gilmour

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received against the introduction of the White Fish Authority Publicity Scheme, 1969.

Mr. Ross

The Authority, as required by statute, submitted to Ministers all objections to the Scheme which had been received by them and were not subsequently withdrawn. These objections, briefly, were that the prerequisites of an advertising campaign were a United Kingdom statutory minimum prices scheme, quality control of fish to be marketed, and limitation of imports. I have received no other representations.
