Mr. Edwin Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will state what was the cost of educating a primary school pupil in the Mexborough and District Divisional Education Area for the years 1962, 1964, 1966 and 1969, respectively; and what are the comparable figures for the West Riding County Council and for England and Wales.

I have no information on expenditure in divisional executive areas. The figures for the West Riding were quoted in the reply to my hon. Friend's Question of 18th December last. No figures for England and Wales are available for 1964–66. For the earlier and later financial years the averages are:
