HC Deb 19 February 1970 vol 796 cc189-90W
Dr. Winstanley

asked the Lord President of the Council if he will arrange for the Fees Office to provide wages office services in respect of hon. Members' employees so as to relieve hon. Members of the work involved in keeping Pay-As-You-Earn records and stamping insurance cards.

Mr. Peart

No. The Fees Office can provide such services only in respect of Members and employees of the House. Such a service in respect of employees of Members would entail considerable extra staff and it would not be right to ask the Fees Office to perform such a task in respect of persons not employed by the House.
