HC Deb 19 February 1970 vol 796 cc159-60W
18. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Minister of Overseas Development what action she proposes to take to help widows of majors who served in the Indian Army to secure an increase in their pension from the present rate of less than £5 10s. per week before tax.

Mr. Whitaker

None. Indian Army widows' pensions for which the British Government are responsible are no less favourable in total than those awarded to a British service widow. They were last increased in 1969.
