Mr. Prior

asked the Minister of Transport what reply he has sent to the complaints of the Parish Council about the state of the A12 road through the village of Kessingland; and, in view of the state of the road, when he estimates work will begin on an improvement scheme.

The parish council has not written to the Department about this road, but I understand there has been correspondence between them and the East Suffolk County Council. A scheme to improve the road is being prepared, but until design is more advanced it is not possible to estimate when work will start.
