HC Deb 18 February 1970 vol 796 c119W
53. Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what special schemes for dealing with water pollution in Scotland are planned during 1970.

Dr. Dickson Mabon

None, but in the financial year 1970–71 capital expenditure in Scotland on sewerage schemes is expected to amount to about £10 million, more than half of which will be spent on sewage treatment works which will improve the cleanliness of rivers and tidal waters.
