Midlothian (New Industrial Units)

Mr. Eadie

asked the Minister of Technology how many new industrial units have come to the county of Midlothian since 1947; and how many of these arrived between 1966 and 1969.

Since 1st January, 1947, 46 industrial units which now employ over 5,400 people have been established in the county of Midlothian. Of these, 28 now employing nearly 1,800 set up between 1st January, 1966 and 31st December, 1969.
