asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what reply he will give to the Industrial Policy Group on

As the reply is in the form of a table of figures, I will, with permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the reply:

its proposals for encouraging overseas investment, a copy of which is in his possession.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

I have noted the proposals made by the Industrial Policy Group. While these matters are kept under review, I have no changes of policy in mind at present.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what reply he has sent to the paper outlining the effects of his restrictions on overseas investment submitted to him by the Industrial Policy Group.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

I would refer the right hon. Member to the answer I gave to a similar Question today by the hon. Member for Cheltenham (Mr. Dodds-Parker).
