HC Deb 17 February 1970 vol 796 c100W
Mrs. Joyce Butler

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he is satisfied that the proposed restrictions on the use of DDT in the United Kingdom will be adequate to cover all foodstuffs which may be exported to the United States of America and which will have to meet United States pesticide requirements; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Hoy

Yes. Our exports of foodstuffs already meet the United States pesticide requirements; and the effect of the proposed restrictions will be to reduce still further any DDT residues.
