HC Deb 16 February 1970 vol 796 c54W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Minister of Transport what estimate he has made of the effect on the number of road accidents of his proposal to extend the concession of parking without lights in 30 miles per hour areas.

Mr. Mulley

I do not expect any increase in the number of road accidents as a result of this proposal to simplify and standardise the rules for unlit parking particularly as regulations in force since 1st January this year require moving vehicles to use headlamps in unlit streets at night.
