asked the Minister of Technology if he will now make a statement on the construction of an ore terminal on the Clyde.

The British Steel Corporation has concluded in principle that the development of an ore terminal at Hunterston is desirable in the near future. Confirmation of the conclusion will depend on further studies and detailed discussions with the Government Departments concerned.
