HC Deb 16 February 1970 vol 796 c30W
Captain H. Kerby

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what are the chairman, joint deputy chairmen and members of the Community Relations Commission paid from public funds for their services; and if he will list under their individual names the expenses claimed by all members of this Commission since their appointment to it.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

The chairman of the Commission receives a salary of £6,600 a year. One deputy chairman receives a salary of £1,500 a year. The other members of the Commission receive a fee of 12 guineas for each day's attendance.

The total expenses claimed by members of the Commission up to 31st January amounted to £928 13s. 11d. It would not be appropriate to disclose individual amounts.
