HC Deb 11 February 1970 vol 795 c349W
67. Rear-Admiral Morgan-Giles

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what further consideration he has given to the future of the Tyne-Tees film about the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's northern flank; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Healey

The Secretary General of N.A.T.O. has asked that the necessary action should be taken to ensure that the film is safeguarded. On his behalf I have taken the matter up with the Chairman of the Independent Television Authority, who is now considering the future of the film with Tyne-Tees. Meanwhile I have been assured by the Authority that both videotape and film are held in safe custody by Tyne-Tees Television, and have been since the security aspect was first called in question.
