HC Deb 11 February 1970 vol 795 c370W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Minister of Technology if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of the firms which he has been informed have established themselves in the County of Fife in the last five years, indicating the numbers currently employed, male and female, respectively.

Mr. Varley

During the last five years, 37 companies new to Fife have opened 38 establishments in the county and now employ about 4,300 people, nearly 1,600 of them male. In addition, during this period, 12 new establishments were opened by firms already in Fife and these currently employ about 2,200 people, 800 of them male. I regret that details of individual firms cannot be given.
