HC Deb 11 February 1970 vol 795 c363W
Mr. John Lee

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will make a statement on the extent of the dereliction of land by industrial processes in the County of Berkshire.

Mr. Skeffington

The local planning authorities in Berkshire in the 1968 survey of derelict land classified 26 acres as derelict and they considered that all of it justified treatment. These figures exclude active mineral workings and those which are subject to restoration conditions, as well as old excavations and pits which the local authorities consider have blended into the landscape.
