asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a table showing the number of primary and secondary children, respectively, and by area, who were receiving part-time education at the latest convenient date.

I would refer the hon. Member to the Answer which I gave him on 22nd January—[Vol. 794 c.190–1.] The numbers of pupils in the several areas were:

Primary Secondary
Glasgow 3,770 129
Ayrshire 619
Dunbartonshire 801
Lanarkshire 181 1,326
Renfrewshire 467 1,191
5,037 3,447

in each year from 1960 is given in the following table.
