asked the Prime Minister whether he has received the communication from the hon. Member for West Ham, North concerning the Chairmanship of the British Broadcasting Corporation; and whether the practice of full-time chairmen of statutory and nationalised boards carrying on private employment at salaries of £10,000 per annum in addition to their public salaries, fees and expenses is in accordance with their conditions of appointment.

The Prime Minister

I have not received any communication from my hon. Friend on this subject, but I would refer him to the Answer I gave to a Question by him on 6th May, 1969.—[Vol. 783, c. 69.]
