HL Deb 10 February 1970 vol 307 c870WA
Lord BALFOUR of INCHRYE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will arrange for a set of Census papers to be placed in the Library of the House of Lords in order to enable members to see what information is being asked of citizens.

The MINISTER of STATE, DEPARTMENT of HEALTH and SOCIAL SECURITY (BARONESS SEROTA)

The topics the Government propose should be covered in the next Census of Population are listed in the Second Schedule to the draft Census Order 1970, which was laid before Parliament on 28th January and requires, in part, approval by Resolution of each House. Regulations made under the Order, if it is approved, will prescribe the actual wording of the questions to be asked in the Census and will be laid before Parliament within the next few months.

House adjourned at eighteen minutes before six o'clock.
