Mr. Edward M. Taylorasked the Minister of Public Building and Works why he set up a Working Party of the National Consultative Council to co-ordinate events to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Building Research Station; what progress it has made; when it last met; how many meetings it has had; and when it is next proposing to meet.
§ Mr. LoughlinThe Working Group was set up to consider how various construction industry events planned for 1971 could be linked together to the benefit of the industry. The Working Group met in March, 1969, and agreed to conduct its business so far as possible by correspondence. Since then its member organisations have been informed of the subjects to be discussed at the Building Research Station Golden Jubilee Congress. These subjects will be further developed in other meetings and conferences during the second half of 1971. A further meeting of the Working Group will be called in due course.
