Mr. Blakerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total of the lines of credit arranged with the Export-Import Bank of the United States since October, 1964 to finance purchases of American military aircraft and missiles; and how much of this total has been used in payment for such purchases.
§ Mr. William RodgersThe total of the lines of credit arranged is $975 million; this includes $154 million for undrawn credits which were allowed to lapse and credit drawn for the F.111 aircraft which was repaid on cancellation of the order. Up to 31st January, 1970, a net amount of $721 million had been drawn.
