Dr. Winstanleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make changes in the personnel of the Committee on Safety of Drugs so as to restore the medical profession's confidence in the Committee following the events surrounding the Committee's publication, Adverse Reactions Series No. 9, December 1969, dealing with oral contraceptives containing oestrogens.
§ Mr. CrossmanI see no justification for changes. The Committee is at present considering, with representatives of the British Medical Association how communications with the profession can best be handled in future.
