Friend is aware of the difficulties that face the Metropolitan Police in enforcing these provisions, and of the measures being taken by the Commissioner to overcome them. I hope that the employment of traffic wardens will help in the enforcement of the law relating to parking and will also reduce the burden that would otherwise fall on regular members of the force.
