HC Deb 06 February 1970 vol 795 c224W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the response of local authorities to his advice on the way in which good neighbour schemes may supplement the home help service; and if he will now repeat his advice.

Mr. Crossman

The information I have suggests that authorities are increasingly turning to schemes of this kind in the development of the home help service. I hope to issue further guidance to them shortly on this and other aspects of the service.
