HC Deb 03 February 1970 vol 795 cc66-7W
47. Dr. Hugh Gray

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he has yet made any further allocation for lending on house purchase to the Exeter City Council.

Mr. Freeson

When it became apparent in December last that some authorities were not likely to use up their quotas for house purchase loans during the current financial year, my right hon. Friend reallocated these amounts to other authorities, including Exeter City Council, who received an extra £60,000.

49. Mr. Lomas

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he has reviewed local authority quotas for lending on house purchase that are not expected to be fully used by the end of the financial year.

Mr. Freeson

My right hon. Friend has carried out this review, and as a result has been able to offer additional quotas to a number of authorities seeking some addition.
