§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe Family Law Reform Act, 1969, specifically provided that the minimum age of candidates for election to Parliament and to local authorities should remain at 21. My right hon. Friend sees no reason to reopen an issue on which Parliament has so recently pronounced.
