asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will state the estimated cost of schemes for the reclamation of derelict land in Lancashire so far authorised; and what proportion of such costs is for reclamation in Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesbury.

Since 1st April, 1967, when derelict land grant to local authorities became generally available throughout Lancashire, 81 schemes amounting to an estimated gross cost of £2.18 million have been given final approval of which six schemes at an estimated gross cost of £0.43 million fall partly or wholly within the areas of Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley.
