HC Deb 18 December 1970 vol 808 c516W
Mr. Simeons

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what action is required under the Trade Descriptions Act by a firm selling a chemical which it is known to manufacture itself but which in fact contains quantities of a similar chemical but of another manufacturer so as to bring this fact to the notice of the purchaser.

Mr. Ridley

In these circumstances the firm must avoid giving any indication, or anything likely to be taken for an indication, that the goods are wholly of its own manufacture.
