HC Deb 18 December 1970 vol 808 c456W
Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how the price of bread in Cardiganshire differs from the average price for the United Kingdom.

Mr. Anthony Stodart

Information about the average price of bread in Cardiganshire is not readily available. The average retail price in Wales does not differ significantly from the comparable figure for Great Britain, although in areas remote from the nearest plant bakeries, like Cardiganshire, a small surcharge is made because of the long road transport hauls involved.
