§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will permit the commutation of a war pension to a lump sum entitlement, on the basis of agreed life expectancy tables, in order to enable capital to be raised for business purposes where regular employment is precluded by the nature of the disability.
