Mr. Tilneyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will give details of industrial sites in the Merseyside development area, in excess of five acres, which are owned by individual firms, but not currently being developed by them; and, in view of the shortage of industrial land in the development area, if he will take steps to ensure that some of this land is released for industrial development.
§ Mr. Graham PageThere is every reason to think that industrial firms who hold land do so in the reasonable expectation of expansion, although detailed figures of these holdings are not available.
