§ 63. Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, with a view to encouraging home ownership, he will seek powers to enable him to pay a portion of the legal fees of those tenants of local authorities and new towns interested in buying their properties.
§ Mr. AmeryNo, but I have empowered local authorities, development corporations and the Commission for the New Towns to give such tenants the opportunity of buying their house at up to 20 per cent. below its market value.
