HC Deb 15 December 1970 vol 808 c320W
Dr. Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry why the findings of the survey initiated by the Board of Trade in 1967 on the social effects of noise have not yet been published; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Noble

The mass of data collected in the field in 1967 has had to be processed and priority given to any information that would be useful for such special purposes as the work of the Commission on the Third London Airport. The survey substantially confirms the main findings of the Wilson Committee on Noise (Cmnd. 2056) and a report will be made public very soon.
