(2) what are the plans for the Metropolitan Police for the introduction of bans on the overnight parking of lorries after the conclusion of the Tower Hamlets experimental scheme.
§ Mr. SharplesIt is for the Greater London Council to decide whether such measures shall be taken. I understand that the Commissioner of Police is concerned about the enforcement and related difficulties that extensive prohibitions324W would create and intends to await the outcome of an experiment in Tower Hamlets before making up his mind whether to support or object to prohibitions proposed for other areas.
