asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the average annual rate of growth in gross national product between 1964 and 1969 in France, Germany, the United States of America and the United Kingdom from information available from international sources.

Mr. Maurice Macmillan

The average annual rate of growth of gross domestic product at constant prices between 1964 and 1969 was 5.5 per cent, in France, 4.5 per cent, in West Germany, 4.6 per cent, in the United States of America and 2.2 per cent, in the United Kingdom. Figures for the growth of gross national product over this period are not yet available for all of these countries.
