§ Mr. Peter ThomasLocal authorities in Wales currently provide 6,431 places in homes for the aged. This provision represents 2.4, 2.1 and 0.5 places per thousand population in Wales, Flintshire and East Flintshire, respectively.
Flintshire County Council is building a home for 48 residents in Holywell and a further two, providing a total of 60 places, are planned for the next two years in East Flintshire.
