HC Deb 15 December 1970 vol 808 cc314-5W
Mr. Dykes

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will seek to promote early nationally-based consultations with industrial groups and trade associations on the provision of home work for registered disabled persons.

Mr. Dudley Smith

No. Home work is a suitable form of resettlement for only a small minority of people registered under the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act of 1944 and I already have expert advice from my national and local advisory committees, from Remploy Ltd., from Industrial Advisers to the Blind and from voluntary bodies.
