HC Deb 15 December 1970 vol 808 c296W
Miss Joan Hall

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many new E.C.17 forms have been printed by the Dental Estimates Board; at what cost; and whether such printing was on a contract basis.

Mr. Alison

A new form EC17 will not be needed until computer processing of dental estimates is introduced next year. The forms, which are being designed in consultation with the dental profession, will be ordered by my Department in the normal way through Her Majesty's Stationery Office.

Miss Joan Hall

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what changes in the numbers of staff at the headquarters of the Dental Estimates Board in Eastbourne he anticipates following the changes in dental charges.

Mr. Alison

None as a result of the changes. Some temporary increases will, however, be needed next year to facilitate the introduction of computerised processing of dental estimate forms.
