HC Deb 14 December 1970 vol 808 c246W
90. Mr. Healey

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has held as co-Chairman of the Geneva Conference with the United States Administration concerning the British rôle in implementing President Nixon's five-point proposals for peace in Vietnam.

Mr. Anthony Royle

We are, of course, in constant touch with the Americans over the situation in Indo-China. We have expressed our support for President Nixon's proposals in this House and elsewhere. My right hon. Friend discussed with Mr. Rogers when he was in New York in October what part Britain, as Geneva Co-Chairman, might play in the search for peace in Indo-China.
