HC Deb 14 December 1970 vol 808 c263W
Mr. Dunnett

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the percentage of children of primary school age to be provided with school meals, in the country as a whole and in the City of Nottingham, respectively.

Mr. van Straubenzee

The latest figures relate to a day in September, 1969. On that day 72.6 per cent. of the children of primary school age in attendance at maintained schools in England and Wales took the school meal. The corresponding figure for Nottingham C.B. was 47.1 per cent.
