Mr. Palmerasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will give the annual percentage increase in sales per man-hour for the nationalized 230W electricity-supply industry in Great Britain from 1958 to 1969, and comparative figures for the electricity-supply industries of Germany, France and the United States of America over the same period, from figures available to him from international sources.
§ Mr. RidleyThere are considerable difficulties in getting comparable statistics for different countries. I am therefore asking the Chairman of the Electricity Council to write to the hon. Member on this matter.
