§ 100. Mr. Emeryasked the Minister for Overseas Development what communication he has received from the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Council of Europe concerning the co-ordination of development aid to under-developed nations; and what answer he has given.
§ Mr. WoodI have received an interesting letter from Signor Vedovato, which I think has gone to all Parliamentarians in the countries belonging to the Council of Europe. Since the letter asks them to urge certain specific courses of action upon their Governments, and Signor Vedovato has not sought my personal views upon his suggestions, I have decided that it would not be appropriate to send him a reply.
§ Mr. Emeryasked the Minister for Overseas Development what action Great Britain has taken in the last three years to co-ordinate development aid given by the United Kingdom with development given by other European nations; and what method exists for the co-ordination of such aid.
