§ Mr. Russell Johnstonasked the Minister of State for Defence whether, in view of the crashing of three Buccaneers out of Royal Navy Air Station Lossiemouth since the beginning of September and the loss of life on 8th December, he is satisfied that no exceptional risk exists either to crews or civil population in the surrounding area; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. KirkI much regret the fatal accident which occurred at Lossiemouth on 8th December, which is being investigated. Pending an urgent assessment of the technical implications of this accident Buccaneers Mark I are not being flown.
