§ Mr. Dudley SmithThe services of the Professional and Executive Register of my Department are available to help people at the appropriate levels of employment in their search for suitable work. We are also considering how retraining facilities for unemployed older executives might be improved.

§ Mr. Dudley SmithMy right hon. Friend has no such plans at present. Salaried workers transferring to jobs with a salary of up to £2,000 a year are already covered by our Department's Resettlement Transfer Scheme. We are considering what more can be done to provide the retraining required to help the older unemployed executive.
